Email Phishing Australia Post: "Scheduled Delivery" Delivers a Surprise

Australia Post has been made aware of multiple fraudulent Emails that are circulating advising customers of an update to the delivery and prompting them to click on a link to “Schedule Delivery”.

Here is one example.

An email is shown with sender shown as ‘Australia Post’ but with a non-Australia Post email address. Subject of the email reads as “You Have 1New Message from our delivery team”. Email body reads as below. “Incorrect address. From Australia Post Online Shop. Tracking number LZ9251301235AU. Expected

Once clicked, the link will lead to fake Australia Post website which is designed to steal your personal and financial information.

We encourage all users to use the AusPost app and have in app notifications enabled.
